Clinical Work with LGBTQ Clients: An Introduction
June 13th, 2024 • 10 am - 12 pm • Virtual Event

This training is a basic introduction to language and concepts necessary to working with clients in the LGBTQ community. Participants will receive an introduction to sexual and gender identity, language and identity labels, privilege and discrimination, affirming clinical work, and a brief look at LGBTQ history. This training is a good fit for individuals who may have little to no exposure to working with LGBTQ clients or who want to brush up on current language or concepts.

Center on Halsted is licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a Social Work continuing education sponsor and able to provide CEs under this license. Following the training, you will be sent an evaluation to the email address you registered with. If you would like to receive CEs you must complete this evaluation and your certification will be sent to you within two weeks.
