About Face Theater Presents WHAT ONCE WE FELT
Artistic Director Bonnie Metzgar has announced the Midwestern premiere of Ann Marie Healy's new play WHAT ONCE WE FELT directed by Krissy Vanderwarker. The cast for WHAT ONCE WE FELT includes Charin Alvarez, Laura Fisher, Patricia Kane, Elizabeth Laidlaw, Ana Sferruzza, and Rebecca Sohn. OUTwrite (an LGBT literary series) presents "Boyhoods: Rethinking Masculinities" with author Ken Corbett
Center on Halsted (in partnership with UNABRIDGED BOOKS) presents a reading & book-signing of "Boyhoods: Rethinking Masculinities", with author Ken Corbett. An insightful book about gender and what is means to be a man (and a boy) through the lens of feminist and queer theory. Sound heavy? It is quite the opposite. Although Corbett journeys through some heavy duty psychoanalytical thought, this is an amusing, accessible and ultimately groundbreaking assessment of gender that even a layman like me can grasp.
