Fall Therapy Groups & Support Groups

Our Fall session of groups will run for 10 weeks beginning early September and pre-registration is required. As a part of the registration process, you will be asked to complete a brief phone screening with one of the group facilitators. Therapy groups will have a brief 20-30 min in-person registration interview. Support groups have a $5 fee per session and Therapy groups have a $15 fee per session. Fee negotiation may be available for those who cannot afford the full fee. GROUP THERAPY

Understanding Self and Others:
Tuesday afternoons from 4:30 -6 pm begins September 6, 2011
On-going therapy group for all genders/orientations wanting to learn more about their own selves as well as learning how they interact and influence relationships with the other people in their lives. Pre-registration Required. Cost: $15/week

Relationship Issues Psychotherapy Group:
Thursday Afternoons from 2-3:30 begins September 8, 2011
Therapy group for all genders/orientations wanting to learn more and explore issues, patterns, and topics related to themselves within the context of intimate or romantic relationships. This group is open to people currently in relationships as well as people interested in focusing on past relationships or who have recently ended a relationship. Pre-registration Required. Cost: $15/week

SAFER SELF GROUP

A Trauma Skills Group:
Thursday evenings from 6-7:30 begins Sept 8, 2011- November 10, 2011
Psychoeducational and skills based therapy group for survivors of interpersonal violence. This group is offered for individuals of all genders/orientations who are dealing with the effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and/or hate violence. Pre-Registration is required.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Women's General Support Group:
Monday Evenings from 7-8:15 and runs Sept 12, 2011- November 14, 2011
10 week support group for female identified individuals who identify as lesbian, bisexual, or queer and seeking general support. Pre-registration is required! $5 per week

Gender Identity Support Group:
Tuesday Evenings from 8-9:15 pm and runs Sept 6, 2011 – November 8, 2011
10 week support group for individuals all along the gender continuum who are seeking general support. Pre-registration is required! $5 per week

Men's General Support Group:
Thursday evenings from 7-8:15 pm and runs Sept 8, 2011 – November 10, 2011
10 week support group for male identified individuals who identify as gay, bisexual, or queer seeking general support. Pre-registration is required! $5 per week

Mental Health Group:
Thursday afternoons from March 31- June 2 Time: 11:30-12:45
10 week support group for members of the LGBTQ community who are living with mental illness and seeking support around topics related to mental health. Pre-registration is required! $5 per week

BEGINNING IN JANUARY!

Parents and expecting Parents Support Group
Support groups for couples or individuals who identify as LGBTQ and are currently parents or soon to be parents. This space would be an area to gain support and build community between people who are facing similar experiences and challenges of parenting.
