The Director's Circle is a group of forward-thinking philanthropists and community-minded individuals who improve the quality of life for the LGBTQ Community of Chicago through their generosity. Contributions support networks and programs that address the cultural, emotional, spiritual, social, educational, recreational and most basic needs of the LGBTQ and ally community.
To deliver vital programs and services, Center on Halsted relies on Director’s Circle members for nearly one-third of the center’s operating revenue. Since our founding in 1973 and opening our doors as a full service community center, Center on Halsted has worked hard to build and strengthen the LGBTQ community. Individual donors to Center on Halsted, whose unrestricted annual giving in a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) totals $600, or more, will qualify for membership in the Director’s Circle. Director’s Circle eligibility is also extended to individuals whose giving is accomplished through businesses, corporations or foundations. Cumulative annual, unrestricted gifts, pledges of a donor are all qualifying means for eligibility. Capital Campaign pledge payments, event ticket purchases and event sponsorships do not qualify donors for Director’s Circle membership.
