C.A. LYONS PROJECT

EVENT DATE
Monday, June 10, 2019
6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

LOCATION
Center on Halsted

DESCRIPTION

Using the Arts as a Catalyst to get to ZERO, The C.A. Lyons Project is a perfect vehicle for discussion.  It tells a story of a young African American choreographer and his fledgling dance company during the early onslaught of the GRID/AIDS epidemic in Chicago. As it did across the country, artistic communities were decimated, leaving many of us to questions, as does C.A. Lyons – “Who am I? Can I be both Black and gay? How can we stop the endless stream of death and dying?” COH opens its doors to this production as the Playwright, Tsehaye Geralyn Hebert has a long term goal of producing readings in 10 cities with the highest increase in HIV cases.

Join us Monday, June 10 at Center on Halsted Hoover-Leppin Theater from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm for a Reading of The C.A. Lyons Project. Free admission and open to all.
