Services and Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Elders
@ The John Baran Senior Center, Center on Halsted
The SAGE program (formerly our Just4Adults program) is designed to meet the unique needs of Chicago's
lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community members who are 45
years
of age and older. The program provides social opportunities, education,
outreach, support groups, and workshops on such issues as preparing for
retirement, caring for aging parents, insurance realities, celebrating
LGBT lives in film, and writing our histories.
The SAGE program invites you to stop in for conversation
and refreshments during one of our regularly scheduled gatherings:
Tuesday afternoons from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
at the John Baran Senior Center, Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted, unless otherwise noted*
*Occasionally the gathering venue may change. Visit
our Monthly Calendar for more information on changes in venue.
Gatherings are a place for LGBT people, of various racial and ethnic
backgrounds and who are 45 years of age and older, to come together
to make new friends
and socialize. Join us!
On August 20th, 2003, the Chicago Task Force on LGBT Aging published LGBT PERSONS IN CHICAGO: Growing Older-A Survey of Needs and Perceptions. You may click the preceding link to view this file in PDF format. If you do not have acrobat reader, it is available for free from www.adobe.com
