Rooftop Summer Garden Tour
Various Dates Available Center on Halsted 3rd Floor
Tour Center on Halsted’s rooftop gardens with longtime volunteers and leaders of the Center’s Green Team Bob and Susan Sullivan. Free small-group tours are available this summer into October. See registration below.
The green roof pollinator garden features hundreds of native plants selected to attract Monarch butterflies and other pollinators. The rooftop vegetable garden provides fresh produce and herbs to the Center’s Silver Fork Culinary Arts training program and seniors clients at the Center on Addison.
Advance registration is open for either of the two tours, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Each tour will last approximately one hour. Both tour groups are limited to 20 people. For roof-top safety, registration is open to those age 18 and older.
