Each year Center on Halsted hosts its signature Human First Performance & Gala to recognize the contributions of individuals, businesses and other organizations to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community in Chicago.
Human First provides an opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate past accomplishments, while we look forward to the work ahead as we continue to build a human first work, together. In addition to raising vital funds to support Center on Halsted programs and services, the Human First Award and Community Spirit Award will be presented to several outstanding civic leaders for their important contributions to the advancement of Chicago’s LGBTQ movement.

You’ve never looked better in a speedo…in December!
The Santa Speedo Run – Northalsted is more than an excuse to don your gay apparel – it’s also a 1-mile run and a fun celebration to raise money for Center on Halsted. In 2022, the event raised more than $100,000 from the fundraising efforts of speedo and holiday-clad runners, along with our corporate sponsors. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at Sidetrack!

Center on Halsted’s annual LGBTQ+ Career Fair offers an opportunity for you to reinforce your brand’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ Community and to reach this key audience.
